Socket Head Shoulder Screws

PIC Design’s Shoulder Screws are manufactured with different head styles. Sometimes the style serves a functional purpose, and other times it is for decorative reasons. Understanding the differences will help you decide which head style to choose.

The Socket Head Shoulder Screw or Hex Head Shoulder Screw has a hexagonal recess and is driven by a hex wrench or Allen wrench. There are six contact surfaces between the bolt and driver preventing cam out, the process by which a screwdriver slips out and damages the head of the screw.
