External E-Rings are designed to slide into the groove from the side of a shaft. The E-Ring gets its name from its open shape, featuring two prongs extending from the inner circumference to the open end which resembles the letter "E" and locks the ring firmly in place. The open circle design is typically used in place of a closed retaining ring when space or access in limited. The following External E-Ring specifications define PIC’s standard selection and routine customization options.
