PIC Design manufactures a broad selection of precision spur gear racks to mesh with our spur gears and pinions. These infinite pitch diameter gears are used to convert rotary motion to linear motion and vice versa. Our precision gear racks are ideal for use in a variety of industries including aerospace and military instrumentation, medical, dental, oil and gas exploration, robotics, optical and industrial controls. Within these industries, our racks are commonly used for precision positioning, drives for linear encoders and other similar light-duty applications.
Several precision fine pitch rectangular and round gear racks are offered to suit your requirements. Our standard spur gear racks are made of aluminum, 416 stainless steel or polyacetal depending on your needs. For compatibility with different materials and applications, PIC Design offers an extensive dimensional and tolerance range. Our racks are manufactured to meet the latest AGMA/ISO standards, up to the equivalent of AGMA Q14 per AGMA 390.03.
