Ferrules are metal rings or sleeves used to connect the ends of a length of belting into a continuous, endless belt. A crimping tool is typically used to clamp and press the ferrule to join the belt ends and give it a finished look.

Note: Because factory crimps use highly controlled hydraulic equipment, and in some cases polyurethane over molding, field crimps result in loads that are 50% of the catalog ratings.
