The PIC Design SmartCATTM catalog provides a wealth of information in an easy to use format. Instructions are provided below for use of the catalog and its features.

Catalog Instructions

Table of Contents: The Table of Contents functions like the Windows Explorer you are familiar with. Click the product family folder you are interested in. This will open up the folder and reveal any additional subfamilies. Continue this process until you have identified the family you desire.

Overview: Each product family presents an overview page providing general product information.

Details: Once you have identified the family you are interested in, click on the blinking "Product Details" Button in the top frame.

Final Selection: At this point, the selection process varies by product line. You may need to use the blinking "Product Details" button once more, but in general, you will now use the left hand menu to choose your final product. Having done that, use the interactive product selection tools on the main page to determine the specific product for your needs.

Calculations: In certain sections of the catalog you will find automated calculators to assist with performance equations. You will see a "Calc" button in the top frame when these are available.

PIC Competitor Search: This section allows the user to do a search using a competitor part number to find the matching PIC part number.

PIC Catalog 44 PDF Download: This area has the entire PIC paper catalog available in PDF format.

Adobe's Acrobat Reader is necessary to view the PDF files. The reader can be downloaded by clicking on the image.

SmartLOOK^TM Viewer Instructions:

The PIC Design SmartCAT offers users the ability to view, pan, zoom, print and download PIC .dxf CAD files directly over the Internet through an online viewer. It was suggested that you install the SmartLOOK viewer the first time you entered the catalog. If you did not install it then, please follow this link to do so now. For Netscape users: 
Due to limitation of this browser, the SmartLOOK viewer will not work within Netscape. This catalog will automatically detect if you are using Netscape, and provide pictures in place of the CAD viewer. You will still be able to download the .dxf files. CAD Viewer Tool Bar Help Tips

  Displays the 'Save As' dialog box. Select directory and filename.

  Displays the Print dialog box.

  Resizes the drawing to full screen.

  Use the mouse to draw a rectangle around the area you want to magnify.

Right mouse click anywhere in the CAD viewer to display the options: Zoom, Save As, View Tool Bar, Print, About SmartLOOK.
