PIC’s new line of Rotary Tables for smooth, precise rotational positioning.
"Small in size, yet big in performance" is an apt description for the new RT4 series rotary tables from PIC Design. With a useful, 4 inch diameter tabletop and a 4 X 5 inch footprint, these tables can carry loads up to 100 pounds.
Designed and manufactured by PIC Design to exacting standards, the RT4 series offers impressive performance characteristics that include: 4 arc-minutes positional accuracy; 0.03 degree run out; 1 oz-in. breakaway torque with loads of 50 pounds; 1750 RPM maximum input speed and 100 lb load capacity.
RT4 series features black anodized aluminum construction with 303 Stainless Steel worm and shafting with a 464 Bronze gear. The ABEC 7 Stainless Steel bearings and thrust washer help to ensure smooth tabletop rotation. Your choice of NEMA 17 stepper motor mount or hand crank models. All models are available in gear ratios of 45:1, 90:1, or 180:1.

PIC Design has added a family of Ball Screws to its already extensive line of lead screws and nuts. This new line is characterized by its ability to handle higher capacity loads at faster speeds with improved efficiencies. Efficiency is typically 90 percent!Faster speeds and higher temperatures are other important considerations when choosing a linear motion system.PIC Design’s ball screws operate with normal efficiency between temperatures of –65° F to 300° F, with suitable lubricants.Most of these screws can run at speeds of over 2,000 inches per minute.
PIC Design’s ball screws are available in 3/8, ½, and 5/8-inch diameters and are stocked in lengths up to 72-inchs.Ball nuts are available in three configurations: as a single circuit, dual circuit, or preloaded styles. These nuts can support maximum operating loads as high as 1650 lbs.PIC Design’s ball screws are available in stainless steel and alloy steel.
Lead screw accuracy is 0.003” per foot, for precision rolled and 0.007”per foot for the more economical industrial rolled version.Positional repeatability is typically better than 0.00005 inches. We can put journals on to your drawing, or we can anneal the ends to allow for your own machining of end journals.

PIC's New Positioning Stages (Tables) Are
The Cost Effective Alternative To Expensive "Scientific Type Stages"
These industrial grade stages are the perfect indexing solution for users who
do not require the performance of a true scientific style stage, but still need
exceptional positional accuracy. Load capacity is substantial at 840 pounds.
Maximum table travel ranges from 2 to 12 inches
Pick either ball or crossed roller slides depending on your
load. Order them with or without a NEMA motor mount. And remember -- they can
easily be bolted together in an X-Y or X-Y-Z configuration.

Protective Bellows Systems
PIC Design now has two new fully pre-assembled Linear Motion Systems. Both systems feature optional protective bellows made of polyurethane-coated nylon. They provide protection for the bearings and lead screws in applications where debris can cause harm. Bellows are operable over a broad temperature range of -65° to 250°F.
A "Twin Track" system designated System 9B represents a significant cost-savings breakthrough without having to sacrifice important design features. The system is ideal for vertical applications. It is designed with a ¾ inch suspended shaft and a ½ inch diameter lead screw. Five travel lengths are available ranging from 2.9 to 15.4 inches.
The second Twin Track system available from PIC Design (designated System 10B) incorporates supported rails that are integral to the base plate. These rails are precision machined and will provide the user with superior operating specifications. Ten travel lengths are available ranging from 3.5 to 29.6 inches. Typical dynamic load handling capacity for both systems is 300 pounds.

Linear Motion Sub-Systems
PIC Design has played a leading role in the design and fabrication of Linear Motion Systems. Now our product line is further enhanced with a whole new range of system components. These components are aimed towards designers that build customized systems.
As an example, our new split rail gantry will allow users to assemble a system that allows work to be accomplished between the rails. For other users there are complete lead screw assemblies. These come complete with end journals, lead screw nuts, and end plates with fitted bearings.
Other components include carriage tops with either recirculating ball or engineered plastic bearings. Bearing housings are also available and eliminate the hassle of trying to match bearings with an appropriate style housing.
Special brackets and plates further extend the usefulness of a system by allowing the designer to adapt for special XYZ configurations while assuring perpendicularity.
