DFARS Statement
PIC Design manufactures and supplies over 40,000 precision mechanical components, many made from stainless steel ('Speciality Metals'). Over 75% of the products sold are our catalog standards or modifications of those standards.
We sell these components within many industries requiring precision mechanical motion such as medical equipment, semiconductor fabrication, test/measurement and aerospace. We have been in business more than 50 years and have a broad range of customers. We are known for our high quality and have always required material certification on stainless steel bars we use in our manufacturing. Much of this material is manufactured out of the US with an unstated country of melt.Due to the flown down of DFAR 252.225-7014 we are experiencing delays in quoting and significantly increased costs due to special handling and higher base costs; in some cases we cannot supply compliant parts.All DFAR 252.225-7014 requirements must be stated at the time of quotion request and we will make every effort to meet these requirements. However, in most cases we expect delays and increased costs or will advise the lack of product availability unless this requirement is waived.
